<description>I am so happy to see that your forum was not allowed to continue on the interent after stalking people in A.A. forums for years. A.A. has never EVER forced anyone into its rooms. The courts have. You tried to make a mockery out of a program that was not bothering anyone. It backfired and I told you so 10 years ago. If your recovery worked like A.A. you would not have had to compare it to anything. Still trying I see. All for a buck. Another thing A.A. is free. I am athesist and still go to A.A. so all your rantings about a cult are bunk yet your still licking the gutter to get your point across. Post this..sure you will. What goes around comes around.</description>

<description>I was a subscriber a year or two ago, and I kicked my lifelong addiction to alcohol with the help of Rational Recovery. Now I don't drink, and I don't have to go to meetings or &quot;white-knuckle&quot; my recovery. Once in awhile I have the same feelings that used to lead me to drinking, but drinking is no longer an option so there's no chance of a &quot;relapse.&quot; Thanks, Jack.

But Jack - I do have a problem with procrastination. You know, not doing the stuff -work, taxes, etc. - that I want to do. And procrastination feels like an addiction to me. I think I use it the same way I used alcohol.

Could the beast-brain be at work here? Do you have any thoughts about dealing with procrastination using AVRT?
&lt;blockquote&gt;Ross,

Calling sloth or laziness “procrastination,” is like calling vice “addiction,” or calling habitual drunkenness “alcoholism, or whoring around “promiscuity,” or gluttony “overeating.” By calling a problem what it is, instead of using polite, politically correct language, is usually the most merciful, efficient, and honest approach to doing anything about it.

Get your lazy ass in gear and enjoy life!

<description>I wondered what had happened, nice to see you got it sorted , RR has been a great help to me, as a complete novice to computers about 3 years ago i googled alternatives to a/a and all i got was effin a/a, haha, i can laugh at it now.
I eventually came across lifering and smart recovery but became disilusioned because those two groups are full of steppers, i started reading on Rational Recovery, done the bullits over and over again and something clicked.
My life is good today and i love the feeling of being in charge of my own future , not relying on some group of nutters telling me how my life should be run.
To anyone reading this , i haven't read the book or paid for anything on Jack Trimpey's site ,i've just read what is there for free online, but i have a lot of respect for the man that started Rational Recovery and pointed me in the right direction towards the truth.

<description>When someone plays God and makes a desision to exclude Rational Recovery from a search engine, they need to know that the public was not only done a major disservice, real people were negatively affected.
13 months ago I searched &quot;alternatives to AA&quot;I was desperate, dissilusioned, and frankly,I didn't know where to turn.At that point I was two years sober and miserable.
All I can say is I was able to connect to RR at the very moment I needed to find them and that is what the internet was meant to be,a tool to HELP people.
I now use what I learned that day every time my addictive voice speaks, and yes it does speak from time to time.
I am a clasic example of someone that did not fit in to AA and Rational Recovery has been working as designed.
Thank goodness the next person that &quot;googles&quot; RR will not only get what they are looking for, they may just get what they need.
I did.
