Can someone please, please, PLEASE verify if all, if not at least some, of the factual information found within http://www.orange-papers.org is 100% correct? Having LITERALLY been brainwashed by AA into thinking that I have an incurable disease, I so badly want to know that it's actually true - AA makes so much more sense to me now!! I am ELATED now that I (ME!) realize AA was NOT for me - although my wife, shrink, family, friends all DEMANDED "GO TO AA!" when I was a stupid drunk... "WHY IS AA NOT WORKING FOR YOU?" they would DEMAND, as I continued drinking while wallowing in horrible self-pity, doubt and guilt, crying like a lost child in a department store on a couch in my living room...trapped in my AA prison..."WHEN ARE YOU GONNA GET BETTER? WHEN???!!!" I kid you not, goose bumps run up and down my arms and legs when I read The Orange Papers...I have felt increased energy the last couple of nights reading them, energy that I have not been able to experience since I was TOLD to go to AA in 1999... I am relatively new to RR and AVRT (I finished reading the AVRT book) and have recently made my BP, but I am more than ready to tame my Beast, and I am now FREE TO LIVE MY LIFE AS A HAPPY PERSON WHO SIMPLY DOES NOT DRINK ANYMORE!!! I feel like crying for joy as I write this... IP: Logged |

Ben: Treasure your good feelings. They are both real and legitimate. You are definitely not alone, except with your decision to abstain forever. And thats a good thing, too. The Orange Papers appear to be well researched. Agent Orange annotates and provides footnotes for his references throughout his/her essays! That alone makes the work more credible. IP: Logged |

Ben, the author of that site is pretty much an expert on AA. He provides ample evidence throughout that book, and probably knows more about the history of AA than even the officers at the GSO do. Rest assured, you are safely on the other side. You are not crazy. You are free. Happy New Year! India IP: Logged |

ben, you're on your way. i found orange-papers.org very imformative and well referenced. if you want more assurances then randomly check some references and see if they are well quoted or misused/taken out if context. its the only way..you, no one else must do it.. IMO, use what you can to support your BP and dismiss the rest. dr jim IP: Logged |

The Orange Papers are very well done. Other useful links include http://www.morerevealed.com and http://www.aadeprogramming.com Ken Ragge's book on the morerevealed site has a chapter with a lot of good information to help escape the cult. best, IP: Logged |
